T BOBO SHANTI NEWS AND VIEWS

The Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress Church of Salvation was founded by the Hon. Prince Emmanuel Charles Edward in l958, the first of March in the city of Kingston at 54B Spanish Town Road until l968, when the government of the J.L.P. party disarray the people from the region along with the congress which was then located in Trench Town in between Harris Street and Davis Lane, but however the members still gather to pay their tribute as usual observing the Sabbatical Order and other spiritual and temporal fulfillment.

It was then in l972 when the Congress did establish its foundation in Bull Bay, 10 miles from Kingston and from there on the works continue to grow more stronger till branches started to emerge from various areas of the society inland and overseas.

In the early l980's the works of the Congress take another greater step when brethren's' from the overseas community came in and desired to dwell. Letters were sent to various government body toward the right and freedom of the people universally, the work got more vigorous. A committee was set up to administrate the daily duties both spiritual and temporal.

The Congress also had communication with government officials in Jamaica and outside of Jamaica and so these works and many other fulfillment was accomplished and during l987 a storm had pass through the island and destroyed many homes and plantation including the Congress infrastructure leaving the Hon. Prince Emmanuel house and the office standing, and so the construction building began again to refurbish the ground and in space of one year everything was partially put together again because of the dedication which a few members did manifest at that moment.

In l990, the Congress sent forward a seven man delegation to three African states to have discussion with the government officials toward the repatriation movements, for these are the principles of the Congress manifesto and so in early l99l a few brethren's' have returned to Nigeria and Ghana where they have settled and have established a foundation unto this day. And also in l992 another delegation of brethren's' left for Ethiopia in which the congress was given an invitation letter through the Jamaican Embassy and the Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Ministry in order to fulfill the repatriation programme and the resettlement of I & I who are in the west and desire to return to Ethiopia - Africa. The movement of the Congress was and is still progressive although has met with many difficulties, it still remains outstanding with its objectives and aims. A foundation has been set up in Ethiopia, Shashemane where a guest house has been built 2002 but uncompleted, also areas have been set apart to build the Sabbatical Tabernacle and there is infrastructure to enhance a little gathering and to have spiritual rituals, but only short of manpower to conduct the daily duties which the foundation is based upon, but as the Father have said "His Kingdom is like unto a mustard seed " which is the smallest seed but when it grows up it becomes one of the biggest trees and all the birds of the air will make their nest in it. So give thanks for all the achievements that have been achieved from that time until this time, for greater works are in store for the righteous and loyal hearts to Rastafari works.
